Terms & Conditions

WAYSIDE ORGANICS BOX SCHEME TERMS & CONDITIONS.

Placement of an order by any means implies acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

The weekly box & extras lists are a guide only. We reserve the right to alter contents/prices depending on market and harvest conditions.

Payment may be made by PayPal, cheque, cash or BACS. Payment is regarded as being when we have received cleared funds. If you have arranged cash-on-delivery terms with us please ensure payment is made weekly. We reserve the right to use a third party to collect any monies owing for goods, and to add interest above the current BOE base rate to overdue accounts.

If payment is made directly to our bank by a self-set Direct Debit the customer is wholly responsible for adjusting payments in the event of holidays/absences etc. as we cannot do this. Refunds for overpayment will be at our discretion (less admin fee + VAT if applicable).

Any credits or claims are at OUR DISCRETION and MUST be made within 48 HOURS of delivery or collection of goods. We will not entertain any claims for refunds made retrospectively outside of this time period.

We do not entertain claims for the taste of produce as this is purely subjective.

We may consider replacing items but refunds will only be made in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion. Customers who are in arrears with payments or have overdue invoices (either in part or in total) will not be refunded under any circumstances.

IMPORTANT: If you cancel temporarily or permanently less than 48 hours before delivery we will not refund any payments made for that week as produce may have been cut or ordered.

Any gratuities ("tips") for delivery staff must be paid directly and not added to invoices or PayPal payments as these cannot be passed on without administration costs being incurred to our detriment.

If you request a change of box we will update the pricing accordingly but please be aware that changes are enacted by Paypal over a ten day period and not instantaneously. It is the customer's responsibility to check that the amount charged is correct and to request a refund if necessary. This will be processed as soon as practicable.

We are not responsible for the storage of goods once they have left the farm. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that goods are stored correctly. Please note that some lines may require storage at specific temperatures. We can also not be held responsible for weather conditions after the box has been delivered, e.g.: thunderstorms, hailstorms, hot sun etc.

Please also ensure that if we have to leave goods unattended, that it is in a safe, hygienic and tamper free location. If you require the box to be covered you must provide this.

If you require a box less than weekly this is possible subject to van space. A 12.5% minimum premium will be applied to these orders & may be increased if costs outside of our control (ie: fuel) rise.

Please note that a fuel surcharge may have to applied to deliveries depending on forecourt prices; the customer will be informed of this either directly or through our social media.

Force majeure applies.

All products are certified organic or in conversion to organic under the relevant EU/GB legislation.
