Our Organic Produce

Crops grown at Wayside include a wide range of heritage apples & pears (over 20 varieties), a wide range of leaf salads, particularly radicchio, endive, specialty lettuce and rocket as well as classic vegetables whichare also available in their respective seasons.

We do this because we believe it's possible to be organic, local and sustainable and to live lightly on the land without harming the environment. There's no reason a smallholding can't be full of wonderful bird life, bats, mammals, insects and wild flowers whilst still being productive land-our holding proves that! As well as already growing organically, our plants are potted in recycled pots, our veg boxes and packaging is recyclable as far as is possible and all green waste is composted for reuse on the holding itself. This website is an ethical website-the servers are powered by renewable green energy and we use only electricity from renewables.

We are licensed for growing, packing, veg boxes and wholesale operations.

We recommend that all produce is washed prior to consumption as per hygiene guidelines and that all customers, retail and wholesale, are mindful of the local EH legislation and requirements.

Allergy information: if you have any concerns over possible allergens please contact us to discuss your requirements. Occasionally produce may be packed in areas where allergens such as celery/kiwi fruit etc., are present.
